Richiedere la proroga dei termini di scadenza per la presentazione della tesi
È possibile, per i dottorandi del XXXVI ciclo, richiedere la proroga dei termini di scadenza per la presentazione della tesi di dottorato.
Secondo quanto stabilito dal Regolamento, all’Articolo 12 comma 15, la proroga fino a dodici mesi può essere richiesta per comprovati motivi che non consentono la presentazione della tesi di dottorato nei tempi previsti dal Corso. Questa, preventivamente autorizzata dal tutor, viene concessa dal collegio dei docenti, e non comporta alcun onere di carattere economico per l’Università.
Dato che la proroga si riferisce ai soli tempi di presentazione della tesi, non è prevista in nessun caso una proroga dell’iscrizione al Corso di Dottorato, quindi, non sarà necessario il pagamento di alcuna tassa; altresì non verrà prorogata la borsa di dottorato.
Per lo stesso motivo, le altre scadenze ed adempimenti di fine ciclo restano gli stessi: la relazione finale delle attività svolte va presentata entro il 30 settembre o, comunque, entro un mese dalla fine dell’anno di riferimento, ai fini dell’ammissione all’esame finale di Dottorato. Viene prorogata di un anno, invece, la scadenza per l’invio della tesi ai Valutatori esterni.

Per richiedere la proroga è necessario compilare il modulo apposito, allegare la delibera del Collegio del Corso di Dottorato che autorizza il differimento della consegna della tesi (da richiedere al Coordinatore del Corso di Dottorato), e inviarli all’Ufficio Protocollo via email a ufficioprotocollo@uniss.it entro venerdì 12 gennaio 2024.
HOW TO REQUEST A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION
PhD students of the XXXVI cycle may request an extension of the deadline for submitting their doctoral thesis.
In accordance with the Regulations, Article 12 paragraph 15, an extension of up to twelve months may be requested for proven reasons that do not allow the submission of the doctoral thesis within the timeframe envisaged by the Course. This, previously authorised by the tutor, is granted by the board of teachers, and does not entail any financial burden for the University.
Given that the extension refers only to the time required to submit the thesis, under no circumstances is an extension of enrolment in the Doctoral Course, and therefore no fee will have to be paid; likewise, the doctoral grant will not be extended.
On the other hand, the deadline for sending the thesis to external assessors is extended by one year.
For the same reason, the other deadlines and obligations at the end of the cycle remain the same: the final report on the activities carried out must be submitted by 30 September or, in any case, within a month of the end of the year in question, for the purposes of admission to the final PhD examination. To request the extension, it is necessary to fill in the appropriate form, attach the deliberation of the PhD Course Committee authorising the postponement of the submission of the thesis (to be requested from the PhD Course Coordinator), and send it to the Protocol Office by email to ufficioprotocollo@uniss.it by Friday, 12 January 2024.
